I'm still working on beating contra without that code.  My record is, using the cheat of course, 11 deaths.

That code will stay in my mind forever.

and its a code that konami used quite a bit in their games, contra was a great game, my favorites were Kid Niki, Blaster Master, Lolo, Ninja Turtles 3 and a few more I would have to dig up in the back of my brain

Do not PM me with troubles getting your games to work. Make a topic in the proper section.

funny/sad thing... my first nintendo was a GBA SP I got like three years ago :) I congratulated myself after landing a job at a local In-N-Out by buying it brand spanking new along with Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. I remember popping the cartridge in for the first time and playing through the first level ;D It was my first Mario game I ever owned lol I would play this, Yoshi's Island, and Tony Hawk's Underground whenever I had time. I still love the SP ;) and my Cube which I got used like two years ago.
But for most of my childhood I grew up on DOS games like Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, Commander Keen, and Out of This World (which I would also watch my dad play-it looked WAY too hard for me at the time haha).

My first experience was owning a NES when it came out, and at the time I thought it was a pile of crap, cause I had to spend time blowing on the cartridge and hope the game would play. and the system was new. NEW! and people complain about the 360.  lol.
NES may have had some of the greatest games in history, but damn that thing was made terribly.
